À propos de Dubai
Dubai Emirate occupies a narrow strip of Persian Gulf coastline in the north-central UAE, bordered by Sharjah to the northeast and Abu Dhabi emirate to the south and west, with the emirate's population and development overwhelmingly concentrated in Dubai City itself rather than spread across smaller towns. Unlike the mountainous northern emirates or Abu Dhabi's vast desert interior, Dubai's terrain is flat coastal sabkha and sand, a geography that made large-scale land reclamation projects such as Palm Jumeirah and the man-made Dubai Marina basin technically and economically feasible in a way few other coastlines allow.
The emirate's character splits between the historic creek-side trading districts of Deira and Bur Dubai, where wind-tower courtyard houses and gold and spice souks preserve the pearling-and-trade economy that predated oil, and the newer coastal corridor running southwest through Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, and Jumeirah Beach, built almost entirely since the 1990s on tourism, real estate, and finance. Dubai International Airport, positioned close to the older creek-side districts, functions as one of the world's busiest air hubs and the primary international gateway for the entire emirate.
November through March delivers the emirate's most comfortable travel conditions, with daytime temperatures in the low-to-mid 20s°C and minimal humidity, making it the peak season for both outdoor sightseeing and desert excursions into the emirate's southern dune fields. April, May, and October are workable shoulder months with warmer but manageable conditions, while the June-September stretch regularly exceeds 40°C with high humidity, concentrating most tourist activity indoors, in air-conditioned malls, or into early-morning and evening hours.
