Entry fees, opening hours, weekly closing days, photography and dress rules, permits, transport fares and routes can all change, sometimes at short notice. Government notifications, festivals, restoration work, security alerts and the weather all cause changes. We check facts against official sources and our place guides show when their facts were last checked, but a guide can still be out of date on the day you travel.

• Confirm fees, timings and closures on the official website of the place or the body that manages it, such as the Archaeological Survey of India or the state tourism department, or at the ticket counter.
• Where we link to an official source and it differs from our guide, the official source takes precedence.
• Crowd timings are our estimates of typical conditions, not guarantees.
• Distances, journey times and directions are approximate. Roads and routes can close.

Travel carries risks, and conditions change: heat, monsoon floods, landslides, altitude, road conditions, wildlife, crowds and local security situations. Nothing on Traveliac is a promise that a place is safe, open or accessible.

• Use your own judgement, and follow the instructions of local authorities, site staff and posted signs.
• Check your own government's travel advice and any official alerts for the area.
• For treks, high-altitude places and remote areas, check permits and conditions first, prepare properly and consider going with a qualified local guide.
• Get medical advice for health questions, including vaccinations, altitude and existing conditions.

We don't sell tickets, tours, accommodation or transport, and we don't take bookings. We link to other websites, such as Google Maps and official tourism and ticketing sites, but we don't control them and are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, refunds or conduct. Any booking you make is between you and that provider.

Buy tickets from official counters and official websites. Be wary of touts and unofficial sellers who offer tickets, guides or shortcuts.
